It was such a joy to do the flowers for Marie & Mikey's wedding..... Marie was a previous roommate and still is a close friend. Simple bouquets is what she requested. White roses, hydrangea, mini callas and purple lisianthus! Her wedding was lovely & i wish her and Mikey the best, as they enter into this new season of life together!

I did a small wedding this weekend, just bouquets and bouts...but nevertheless it was lovely! The bride, Daly Sims, works at APU and had a wonderful choice of white peonies and peach garden roses for her bouquet. And for her bridesmaids, yellow and white cushion mums, dahlias, billy balls and a scabiosa pods. The guys bout were scabiosa pods & billy balls tied in twine.

Double Wedding Weekend!!!

I accidentally double booked my weddings this past weekend & life was crazy! With the summer's heat, i ended up arranging through the night...working 10pm-3am, sleeping for 3hrs, designing 6am-11am, sleeping during the day, etc. 2 days of that! Plus set up on one of the hottest days of the year.....needless to say, i'm glad it's all over, and will never do that again. However, nevertheless, it was a joy designing both weddings! Here are so photos......

The first wedding was for Ali & Chris. They were married at a barn in Livermore, and their reception was at the Martinelli center. They had all wild flower bouquets in magenta, yellow, orange and white. My absolute favorite were their centerpieces! Jars of all different sizes with candles, and bottles with flowers for a random, eclectic look. It was glorious making these arrangements!

My second wedding was for Catherine & Ben. They were married at a local church in Pleasanton, and the reception was at a home near by. They had all elegant flowers include roses, mini callas and green coffee berries. It was a joy making the arrangements for their special day!

Krissa & Nick are from Seattle but we're married in Livermore. Their ceremony was at a beautiful church in Livermore & reception at one of my favorite winery's Rios Lovell. Her flowers were standard: mini calls and white roses. With fun button mum & mini calla bouts. She had cylinder centerpieces with limes and dahlias floating in them...here are so photos, Enjoy!

Her and Casey had a lovely wedding, flower were very traditional and it was an honor to do the flowers for their wedding day!

I started off the 2011 wedding season with Lisa & Chris! Their wedding was at one of my favorite venues in Livermore; Murrietas Well. I have to admit though, i was a little nervous about the flowers...you see, I quoted her for all peonies but, I overestimated that they would be in season now....they weren't. However, thank goodness for cherry blossoms! They have potentially the same look & when mixed in, you can't tell the difference! I especially enjoyed the brides bouquet with pearl & diamonds mixed in, as well as tied in lace.... There were feathers incorporated in the bridesmaids bouquets & lastly their garland was all paper flowers. Here are some photos!

I also made this bouquet for a mock wedding shoot & portfolio piece....More photos to come!

This post is a little late, I'm usually quite immediate with posting photos of weekend weddings and what not, but I've been a bit busy recently...but, better late then never! So, I made a few bouquets for this wedding last weekend. All flowers were white with Peonies, roses, and freesia. The flowers smelled amazing and they looked pretty great as well! The photographer even posted the wedding on her blog.

Tony and Lauren had an amazing wedding at the Palmdale estate in Fremont CA. I've known Tony for a couple years and Lauren for just a few. They are both awesome people and it was an honor to do the flowers for their wedding. I'm so excited for each of them & for their future together!

2 Wedding Weekend....Sarah&Charlie + Jodi&Joshua

The first wedding was for Sarah & Charlie. A little known fact about this couple: Sarah is 4'9 and Charlie is just a little over 6ft. Their height difference is insane, yet adorable. I've know and played music with both Sarah and Charlie for a couple years and i was stoked to make the arrangements for their wedding! It was also my first time using peonies... i am now a huge fan!

The Second Wedding was for Jodi & Joshua. They were married at the San Ramon Golf course. Jodi sent me some photos of what she wanted, and (in my humblest opinion) the bouquets turned out exactly like the photos. I was pretty excited and she loved them as well!

Cara and Joe had a wonderful garden wedding in Alamo CA. Cara is a friend of mine and it was such a joy to create the arrangements (and corrdinite) her wedding! To add some special touches to her arrangements, she made some white feather bunches, and butterflies for the centerpieces. All in all, it turned out to be a lovely day! Congrats Cara & Joe.

Megan and Mickey were married at the Chateau Golf course in Tahoe, NV. Mickey is the brother of some friends of mine and it was such joy to create the flower arrangements for him and Megan special day! I adored their centerpieces, consisting of wheat grass cubes and alternating vases with orchids and bear grass inside. All the different vases made for such an elegant, yet contemporary reception theme. And, the green and orange looked so lovely together. Not to mention, the snow capped Sierra Nevada's and gorgeous lake Tahoe, set the perfect backdrop for their ceremony & reception.

It's true, i am now the owner of an in-home-business! It's quite exciting. I recently completed all the paper work for a sellers permit, business license and SF flower market badge. With all this, i can now operate my own business....of course, only inside my home. I'm not going to lie, i'm stoked! Being that it's now May, and with the summer months approaching, i have weddings lined up this month. As well as, a few scattered here and there in June, July and August.
I must say though, i wouldn't have been able to do any of this without the good Lord Jesus Christ. I truly owe Him all the glory and honor for blessing me with the talent and joy of arranging flowers(Phil 4:19). Thanks God, You Rock! Stay posted for more photos of the upcoming weddings!

Joy and Bj were married at Valley Bible church in Pleasanton. They had a gorgeous wedding with friends and family at Joy home church. Purple and white were their colors with tulips, hydrangea, mini callas roses and lisianthus. The tulip boutineers were my favorite!

Emily and Erin are one of the cutest and most fun couples i have met! They were married at Garre winery in Livermore CA. They choose to have bouquet consisting of cymbidium orchids, hydrangea, dahlias roses and ranunclus.And i have to mention that everyone in their bridal party wore TOMS shoes! Chris and Arlina were married at Rios Lovelle winery in Livermore CA. They had a such a colorful wedding. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of gerber daisys while the bride had a mixed bouquet with dahlias, gerber daisys, mini callas, roses and fiddle ferns (sometimes called monkey tails). The men wore a simple orange mini calla boutineer and they had mixed bubble bowl centerpieces. They also had small bundles of gerber daisy's and tool to line the isle.

Mandie and Justin were married at Ardenwood Farms in Fremont CA. Instead of the standard hand tied bouquets, Mandie choose to carry a cascade style bouquet. Her bridesmaids carried very small, short bouquets, consisting of dark mini callas and plumosa fern. Their centerpieces consisted of mostly curly willow sticks and dendrobium orchids. They also had pomanders(also known as kissing balls) hanging on shepard hooks to line the isle.

Meghan and Kory were married at a private yatch club located in the Delta. They had a simple, yet elegant wedding where the bridesmaids carried all blue hydrangea bouquets. And the bride herself carried an all white rose bouquet. They also had two swags hanging on lap posts, which served as the alter spot.
